Moda, the largest fashion fair in the UK, will open its doors this weekend (6-8 August) to buyers and brands alike, offering a comprehensive line-up of key international and domestic names across menswear, womenswear, footwear and accessories. Ahead of the event, we’re sharing seven reasons why you should absolutely visit the s/s 18 edition of Moda.

The line-up
From key brands across mainstream menswear such as Olymp, Gibson London and Ben Sherman to contemporary labels including !Solid, Original Penguin, CG Club of Gents and DML Jeans, Moda enables you to do all your s/s 18 buying under one roof.

Beach & activewear
No summer show would be complete without a comprehensive offer of surf and activewear, and this season is no different. Buyers can expect to see the latest from brands such as O’Neill, Puma, Pat & Can, Bowler & Beach and Nicholas Alexander to name just a few.

Trend forecasting
Catwalk shows running throughout the three-day event give retailers the opportunity to gauge the biggest trends set to dominate the s/s 18 season, from tailoring through to key footwear themes. The catwalk is located in Hall 19 with six presentations each day. A full rundown of the schedule can be found here.

Expert advice at your fingertips
The catwalk theatre in Hall 19 will also welcome a comprehensive line-up of seminar speakers and panel discussions, covering all aspects of retailing, from effective ways of working with like-minded indies to improve your business through to blogging for the fashion industry. For the first time at Moda, a workshop will be held after each presentation for visitor Q&A’s. A full run-down of the three-day seminar programme can be found here.

Networking
With welcome drinks taking place on Sunday from 6pm in the Atrium, directly outside the entrance to the show, and the Happy Hour sponsored by Skopes starting at 4.30pm on Monday, visitors and exhibitors are given ample opportunity to talk shop in a relaxed environment.

Discover new labels
Each season brings freshness for Moda Gent, with established brands such as O’Neill and K Swiss making their debut, using the show as a platform to reach brand new accounts within the UK. New names to add to the current roster, meanwhile, include Signal, Bertoni, Stallion Clothing, Tom Cridland and Maglificio Liliana.

Complete your store’s offer with the vast footwear and accessory brands Moda has to offer. Renowned for its strong footwear offer, Moda welcomes brands such as Barker, Scholl, Birkenstocks, Gola, S.Oliver, Goodwin Smith, Rockport, while the shows accessory offer will feature the likes of Ashwood Leathers, The British Bag Company, Jockey, Falke, Burlington, Farah socks and underwear, Mag Mouch and Tie Studio.
