London’s Carnaby shopping district is set to welcome two new retailers this autumn – The Cords & Co (pictured) and Finlay & Co.
Eyewear and sunglasses brand Finlay & Co will make its retail debut this October, with its first store opening at 61 Broadwick Street.
The 650 sq ft store will house the brand’s best-selling frames as well as a curated edit of ten other independent eyewear brands from around the world.
“Finlay & Co. is delighted to be opening its first store on Broadwick Street within the Carnaby Estate,” says David Lochhead, co-founder. “We’re excited to have a flagship store where we can display our full collection for the first time and complement our designs with the best independent eyewear brands in the market. Soho is a unique are within Central London where Londoners from each corner of our city feel comfortable exploring, eating and shopping. We look forward to delivering a new class of eye care experience for our customers within these stimulating surroundings.”
Clothing label The Cords & Co, meanwhile, will open a UK standalone store this month and is the first brand on the market to specifically showcase corduroy.
Focusing on classic pieces reimagined in a contemporary way, iconic 70s staple corduroy will be making a comeback in bright colours and shapes, making it a premium alternative to denim. The brand will showcase exclusive collaborations in store including Alpha Industries, Eastpak and DJ Harvey.
