With a positive response to both its revised layout and the welcomed addition of a brand new womenswear category, Jacket Required was hailed a success by brands and buyers alike.

Offering nearly 300 domestic and international names such as Amor Lux, Dickies, Sandqvist, Wrangler, R.M Williams, Gloverall, Herschel Bag Supply and Ice Play, it was the high quality of buyers through the doors which was remarked on by many – which included Mr Porter, Woodhouse Clothing, Very Exclusive and The Hip Store.

One brand making its debut at the show was iconic outerwear label, Helly Hansen. “We’re celebrating 140 years as a brand this year, so we wanted to mark and communicate this to the industry, as well as show off our tweaked collections and Jacket Required is the right platform to do this. We’ve had a good response to both the menswear and the womenswear ranges and we’ve picked up some great contacts,” says Tony Rawlings, key account manager.

George Taylor, sales and brand manager at BB7 Fashion Agencies, managing the sales for Sergio Tacchini, mirrored this. “Sergio Tacchini has been out of the UK market for a while but from using Jacket Required as a platform to reintroduce it we’ve had such a great response from retailers, who not only understand the history of the brand, but understand where we’re taking it moving forward,” says Taylor. “We’ve already opened five new accounts and it’s only half way through the first day, so we couldn’t really ask for anything better.”

The team from MWB, meanwhile, were on hand throughout Jacket Required to snap product highlights.



40 Colori is an Italian accessory label with a strong focus on ethical manufacturing. With the majority of products made in the family-owned workshop in southern Italy, the brand has a standalone store in Shoreditch and currently works with Palladio Agency to manage the wholesale arm of the business.



Deadwood primarily focuses on leather jackets, creating a comprehensive range of both men’s and womenswear. Founded by Carl Ollson and Felix von Bahder in 2012, each design is made fully from recycled leather.



Helly Hansen celebrates 140 years this year, introducing a three-tier range into the UK market, which is both performance and trend led.



Notable Designs is a premium distributor for stationery and lifestyle designs such as Bitplay, Blackwing, Danzo and Happily Ever After Paper. With stockists across Europe and the Middle East, the company is looking to target key UK doors for s/s 18.



Old Captain Co is a Swiss-based shirt label making its first foray into the UK market for s/s 18. With both menswear and womenswear on offer, the brand has already built a loyal following throughout its online retail arm and is looking to penetrate British stores for the new season. stores across the UK, Europe and as far as the Middle East.



Sergio Tacchini is an Italian fashion designer and former professional tennis player. The sportswear firm bearing his name is located in Bellinzago Novarese, Novara, Italy and is re-entering the UK market with a comprehensive collection of sports inspired t-shirts, sweats, hoodies and outerwear.



Barqet is another label that chose Jacket Required as a platform to introduce itself to key UK buyers. With a colour-filled collection of relaxed slip-ons, pumps and casual shoes, each design from the Spanish footwear label is made in Alicante, with brand headquarters located in Madrid.



Cole Haan is a luxury American footwear label which has already made waves within the UK following its successful introduction via Liberty, where the brand had a dedicated in-store instillation for its launch. Now concentrating on the wholesale arm of the business, the brand is looking for select independent doors for s/s 18.



Eden Park Vintage is a premium capsule collection from iconic French label Eden Park. With double wash finishes for a vintage effect and sports inspired detailing the collection has a higher price point to the mainline collection, designed to target high end retailers not previously reached.



Maximilan Robinson is a brand new British label which focuses primarily on shirts, alongside a small capsule footwear collection. Characterised by its strong use of prints throughout, finer design details included bronze buttons and a signature white piping hem on every shirt.



Podenco Eivissa is a menswear brand born in the heart of Ibiza. Named after the infamous Podenco wild dogs on the island, the label was created with the same free spirit. Comprising swimwear, the new season will see the introduction of towelling shirts, for beach to bar ease.
