Pitti Immagine Uomo, the premium international event for men’s fashion and lifestyle, has unveiled its exclusive schedule of special projects and guest designers for January 2018.
Taking place on the 9-12 January 2018, the 93rd edition will welcome over 1,200 brands and collections, including 227 new signings. The comprehensive schedule of events is set to include the following:
Corneliani will return to Pitti Uomo, with a double showcase to introduce the full collection, coinciding with a presentation of the new corporate identity and the launch of the new digital platform.
Karl Lagerfeld will showcase his new menswear collection in the Sala dell’Orologio at the Costruzioni Lorenesi.
Paul & Shark, meanwhile, will present its Typhoon project; an innovative proposal from both technological and stylistic points of view.
The show will welcome back Fratelli Rossetti, a historic brand in the world of Made in Italy footwear.
Birkenstock will be in special attendance, with its Birkenstock Box project – a new mobile retail concept alongside a short film by Dan Tobin Smith.
This edition of Pitti Uomo will also run alongside the tenth anniversary of Denham the Jeanmaker, which the brand will celebrate with a year-long program of events and collaborations, beginning at Pitti Uomo.
Another brand to reach a milestone in business during Pitti Uomo is Pepe Jeans who will kick off its 45th anniversary celebrations by presenting the new a/w 18 collection, as well as a revolutionary environmentally friendly development process for the treatment of denim.
Finally, a brand new concept – Athlovers – will be unveiled. Athlovers is the new Pitti Uomo project marking the birth of athletic collections, in collaborations with Reda, an historical wool mill from Biella. Reda will provide each of the participating brands with the innovative fabrics of the line Reda Active to make one item for an exclusive showing at the fair.
